Cooperation between Regensburg & Passau

The IEEE Student Branches Regensburg and Passau formed a team to organize the Region 8 SYP 2016.

As one of the youngest Branches in the Region 8, Regensburg is eager to organize this big event. The Branch in Passau, which is well established has valuable knowledge about organizing events which is invaluable. Both Student Branches are strongly connected to each other, thematically and also personally we keep contact, meet up, and organize several events together.

During the foundation of the Branch in Regensburg, Passau helped the new Branch in Regensburg to run through the establishment process. Since then, the two Branches are planning and organizing events together. For example we went to the IEEE Germany Students Conference in Hamburg and the past chair of the Branch in Regensburg participated in the networking weekend of the Branch in Passau. In June 2015 we also organized an excursion to netfabb and FITAG in Parsberg. Because of these events and the continuous communication, the members of the two Branches know each other well.
